D-Day Kick Off is the fourteenth mission of Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines.
Historical Background[]
It's the end of May, 1944. Everything is ready for Operation Overlord. General Eisenhower is only waiting for the weather conditions to be the best. At both sides of the English Channel, tension mounts.
Objectives[]
The last air photographs show four powerful cannons placed near La Rivière, in the area codenamed Juno. These could be a serious threat to the landings.
Your mission: to take them out. This is the way you will write the opening page of the greatest landing of History.
Tactical Advice[]
Listen, officer. You'll approach the area from this point. Then you'll knock down these four cannons, take a boat, and head for the buoy. That will be all. Don't leave a single cannon left, officer. Many men will depend on that.
Walkthrough[]
1. Fins goes to the sand, hides behind an object and uses gun to kill three patrols, shooting in this area will not alarm the main bases, then he goes to boat again to let all commandos land on.
2. Tiny climbs the hill to kill a soldier, climbs down into the first cannon's area, kills the guard and two soldiers. Duke can snipe two soldiers on the first cannon.
3. Fins dives in front of the second cannon, stands up suddenly, many soldiers will aim at Fins, then Tiny climbs up the hill again, kills a soldier on the hill, climbs down, kills 2 machine gunners and hides their bodies.
4. Tiny can stand up/crawl/use decoy/escape/hide himself into sand, behind the second cannon; Fins can stand up/crawl; to lure soldiers to aim at fins. Tiny climbs the third cannon, kills a soldier, then, kills another soldier whom walking left of the third cannon and hides the body, Tiny can still stand up/crawl/use decoy/escape/hide himself into sand, near the southwest side of the third cannon; Fins can still stand up/crawl; to lure even more soldiers to aim at fins.
At this sand area in front of the second cannon, Tiny will kill 14 soldiers whom came from every cannon's area to aim at fins, plus Tiny kills 2 soldiers on the second cannon.
5. Tiny kills the last soldier below the barrels, hide the body, Duke can go to a crack-zone between the hill and an olive-shaped-rock at the left side of the third cannon which near the 2 machine guns then Duke snipes one soldier whom stands behind the fourth cannon, other soldiers will come to inspect the corpse, Duke must kill them too: without any dying soldier is being discovered by the patrolling teams.
After Duke kills 5 soldiers in this action, their corpses lay behind the fourth cannon so patrolling teams will never know they are dead.
6. The way is cleared, Tread can crawl, escape from a soldier's watching, and take the tank to kill all enemies.
7. Inferno uses bombs to bomb 3 cannons, tiny uses barrel to bomb 1 cannon, then all use the boat to escape, mission complete.
