Molotov cocktail in players inventory
The Molotov cocktail is a new item in Commandos 2: Men of Courage only used by the Driver. When thrown, it smashes creating a big fire and causing every enemy soldier near to burst into flames. It is perfect for ambushing enemy patrols but also groups of soldiers gathered in one spot.
It is prefered over the grenade as it is a more silent way to kill a large group of enemies. However the downside is it has smaller area blast than a grenade, and the player cannot loot/pickup any item from the burned enemy's inventory.
In the remastered HD versions of C2/C3, Molotovs are bugged and make a grenade explosion, making them no longer silent.
Molotov cocktails can be found in cupboards and boxes.
In Commandos 3: Destination Berlin the Driver does not appear in any missions so the Sapper uses the Molotov cocktail.
In Commandos: Strike Force the Molotov appears in Defend our Mother Russia exclusively and can be used by both Francis O'Brien and William Hawkins.
