Colonel George Brown is the Spy Commando in Commandos: Strike Force. He serves with Francis O'Brien and William Hawkins in a Commando strike force unit which he commands.
George Brown's background and past are mysterious, it is just known that he is a German and anti-fascist. He can disguise himself with the help of an Enemy Uniform, from a lowly soldier to a high-ranking general.
Mechanically, the Spy is a hybrid of the original Spy, Thief and Sapper, being able to disguise himself as well as use a Garrote and Gas Grenades with a Gas Mask to eliminate groups of enemies silently.
For weaponry, like all Commandos, the Spy can use a Pistol, he can also use Submachine Guns, but without the ability to dual-wield them like O'Brien, as well as a Garrote for stealth kills. This does render the Spy defenceless if out of ammo as the Garrote cannot be used in direct combat like O'Brien's KA-BAR Knife or the Fairbairn-Sykes Knives that Hawkins throws.
The Spy while great for stealth with his disguises, should avoid combat situations at all costs, the Spy's lower stamina than the other Commandos means he cannot sprint around as much and he has the lowest health of any of the Commandos and can be cut down quickly by gunfire, especially on higher difficulties.

Comments on Performance[]
The Colonel's rank, tactical mind and leadership skills make him the perfect choice for command of this Commando strike force unit. His stealth and language skills will allow him to get close and eliminate enemy targets without attracting attention. His use of the German language and Nazi military disguises will allow him to infiltrate and mimic enemy soldiers to gain intelligence on enemy plans and strategic positions. All these attributes will prove invaluable to the overall success of the campaign. Whilst we know very little about Brown's history and background, he is driven by one single desire to defeat the Nazis. A desire so strong within him that I can comment that it seems almost personal
Trivia[]
- George Brown's first person hands are different depending on if you are playing on PC/Xbox or PS2 as on PC/Xbox he re-uses the Green Beret's hands while on PS2 he has a unique set of first-person hands.
- An error in the PS2 version means that the first time Brown puts on an Enemy Uniform, he will use that enemy soldier's character model during the animation (Instead of the proper character model of Brown in that uniform.).
- Early screenshots indicate Brown could use weapons while disguised, in the final game, drawing a weapon automatically removes Brown's disguise.
