The rifle is a generic weapon that was introduced in the first game in the Commandos series. It is used by the enemy and usually has a medium range with enough power to kill with one shot. In Commandos 2: Men of Courage, the rifle is introduced to all nations as well as the search function. The rifle is found on the dead bodies of German and Japanese riflemen. The German rifleman is usually clothed in brown and show the rifle in his hands. Rifles can also be found in searchable furniture especially in the uncommon rifle racks. All commandos can use the rifle with varying ranges. The rifle is very common in German missions but less so in Japanese missions where the pistol is used by most opponents.
